Start with shelf roles

Use accessible vehicle kits to introduce a theme, core formats for choice, and selected display-led products for gifting. This is a merchandising framework, not a sales forecast. The mix should reflect your customers, shelf width, price positions and replenishment budget.

Compare packaging at actual size

Ask for front, side and back views and actual box dimensions. A set that looks strong online may use too much shelf depth or hide its building format in store. Check whether the model, contents and age information are understandable without opening the package.

Avoid a range full of near-duplicates

Two vehicle sets should earn separate positions through a different build, size, price position or play feature. Color changes alone may not justify an additional SKU. Keep a focused opening range and record which customer need each item addresses.

Plan replenishment separately

Separate new-item trials from replenishment quantities. Ask whether later orders can retain the same packaging and version, and how changes are communicated. Confirm availability and minimum quantities for each order rather than assuming a sample listing is permanent stock.
